All My Rage by Sabaa Tahir

5.0

TW: drug and alcohol addiction, physical abuse, Islamaphobia, mentions of repressed sexual assault (of a child), tense exchange of law enforcement, death (thank you so much ms tahir for the tws inside the book)

"If we are lost, God is like water, finding the unknowable path when we cannot"

after crying fervently on and off for a day, I have come to say this
-All My Rage is one of those books that is alive and changes with you as you read it (if that makes sense)
-I have never learned more about love and family than from this book, and I see so many family dynamics in this book in my real life. WE NEED MORE IMPERFECT MUSLIM FAMILY REP IN BOOKS
-This book is so well thought out, you can tell the lines that are meant to hit you HIT YOU
-I have so many music recommendations from Noor now <3
-I am so grateful for the effortless backdrop of Islam weaved throughout this gem of a book.
-Lastly, when I reread this book (which I most definetely will do), I will conduct detailed notes on Auntie Misbah's parenting. She is the mother I can only hope to be.
