As Chimney Sweepers Come to Dust
by Alan Bradley
This instalment sees Flavia adrift and a bit friendless in Canada at a boarding school surrounded by mystery and unsaid words.
Even I felt a bit detached from the story, but did feel a pang for Flavia's homesickness.
As Flavia rushes from one thing to another, disregarding one rule after another (as she's wont to do), I think her dogged determination to ferret out the truth is waning a bit for me.
Also, I missed Dogger.
