Did not finish book. Stopped at 57%.

Where is the cosiness meant to be here? Is it just in the copious mentions of food? 

The stakes are incredibly high, with
MC facing a life sentence and her family would be ruined
and every plot point and development is “cop becomes even more malicious and does more abuse of power” which is reaaally not what I would call cozy. Kept holding out for more to happen but it was just that. The plot was going round in circles with our main character just bumbling through. 

I really enjoyed the character diversity though and just wish it had a better plot!
