⚠️ Please look up TRIGGERS ⚠️

Following the death of her sister, Eveline and her family continued to expand the family business. She is intelligent and impulsive - wicked. She does everything she can for her family despite the anger and grief that fills her bleeding heart. Nicholas never believed in love. He is heartless and his only goal is to protect his sister and get rid of all the poison off of the streets. In a path of faded yellow bricks, the two crosses paths. She hates him for everything he is and yet she’s everything that’s perfect for him even though she’s the very thing he’s been fighting against his whole life - but a woman can be great and terrible too.

This book is such a ✨masterpiece✨ and I am sooo blessed to have been given an advanced copy of the book. Honestly, I’m still getting a physical copy because this book DESERVES recognition and be on DISPLAY.

Emily McIntire has once again outdone herself with this novel. This book is amazing and I am just WRECKED with a wicked book hangover. I am just soooo in love with everything about this book, especially Evie and Nick. Their story is just so messy and real. It’s about breaking the walls they each have separately built around their hearts. There’s just so much angst and it only makes the story so much better. Evie is definitely at the top of the most badass woman ever!

I was holding my breath in the last chapters as the story unfolded. By the time I was done, I was soooo freaking happy, I couldn’t stop smiling. This gave me revived me and I was doing a happy dance just to help get rid of the excess energy I got at the end of the book - I was working a 12 hour shift the day I finished it and even though it was 5am, this book gave me SO MUCH ENERGY, I was practically bouncing off the walls at work.

I had so much fun searching for the Easter eggs. I also very much enjoyed the poems and Shakespeare!!! They really brought the book to another level of depth and sophistication.

If you’re looking for a new fictional obsession, pick up this book. You don’t just get a morally grey book boyfriend, you also get a Dommy Mommy and a new kink or two unlocked. I should know, I’m speaking from experience.

This novel just might be the spiciest she’s written yet and I can’t wait to jump in and read this again!!! Actually, I am currently reading it again.
