నల్లంచు తెల్ల చీర [Nallanchu Tella Cheera] by Yandamoori Veerendranath

4.0

Firstly, I had no clue that a Telugu movie, Donga mogudu was made based on this book. So, I had zero expectations and I generally don’t even read blurb of Yandamoori sir’s books. The plot is pretty basic about a young entrepreneur, who scales new heights in textile industry, which makes his peers jealous. The seconds half is mostly about how antagonist/s frame him into a murder. The thing I liked the most about the book is the extreme amount of research done by author about the saree business. He also introduces us to some of his futuristic things(for the times when book was written) like magic mirror, where woman can see themselves in different attires just by looking into a mirror. We can now do that on a phone. The book also gives hints about the authors’s aversion for the women’s love for saree. Overall, this is a good read and I’d be happy to recommend it.
