Billy Summers by Stephen King

4.0

Damn. Finally over.

This book started S L O W. But the other reviewers promises it would come better after the job happens. So i struggled to the said part. It's true, fortunately.

Not much i can say about it that other reviewers haven't already said. The book is indeed a bit different from other mainstream crime thriller. Alex Cross or Jack Reacher we already have, are we in need for a Billy Summers too? Turned out we do. Instead of a cold blooded killer, King made his Billy Summers more humane. Effective, but humane, with traumas and regrets. And also, King writes best when the main character is, or aspires to be, a writer.

So all in all, while not being a crime thriller everyone expects, this is still a good story.
