Building Bridges by Lia Fairchild

hopeful medium-paced

3.0

This book introduced me to characters I really rooted for and a family unit I enjoyed, with backstories that made these elements particularly realistic and intriguing. Despite the somewhat complexity of the family relationships, they were written in a way that helped me grasp what was happening quickly and allowed me to experience the joys and difficulties of this large family that the author was putting across. There were two distinct narrative voices that meant I could easily distinguish between the differing storylines. Personally, I didn't care much for the romance which is why this is a three star for me, but I really enjoyed the other aspects of the story and definitely hope to pick up the sequels.
