Grisly yet funny crime fiction with an engaging, fully human heroine lawyer, who beats the odds to right a miscarriage of justice that deals with the worlds of academia, medieval Icelandic history and spiritual beliefs. Highly recommended: first in the Thora Gudmundsdottir series.
