Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
“she was aelin galathynius, heir of two mighty bloodlines, protector of a once-glorious people, and Queen of Terrasen.
she was aelin galathynius—and she would not be afraid.”
CHILLS. i love sam so much, gods thank him for this mantra.
little aelin reaching out her hand to our aelin so she could reach deeper into her magic and defeat the valg princes….. absolutely beautiful. i could literally picture a little girl reaching out to the older version of herself, more forgiving, proud of, and grateful for her than her older counterpart could ever understand. a reminder to aelin that she is good. not the monster everyone else has led her to believe (hello manon). that sealed the deal for me on this whole series. it will always be special.
also— WHY IS EVERYONE IN THIS BOOK OBSESSED WITH CHAOL? why must he be protected at all costs? am i missing something??
