I thoroughly enjoyed An Enchantment of Ravens. So I decided I needed to read the author's other book. I love the banter in this book between the love interest and the main character. I loved the demons who were smart asses. I loved the morally gray characters.
I did not love that the book was incredibly boring when the love interest and the demons were not involved. The main character could not carry the book or the story herself. Then towards the end of the book, it just got really cheesy. Very predictable and the writing didn't make me excited in anyway. Ending of the book felt rushed, like the author was trying to pull together all these lines in the last hundred pages. And they were big storylines.
All in all, it's a book that should be read. If only for the banter between the characters and the imaginative storyline.
