This was an interesting twist on red riding hood, with an assassin hunting werewolves for revenge. She lures, seduces and kills her targets, and they never see it coming.
It was split into 3 POV with the retelling aspect coming from Nikita - the villainess assassin.
The other main characters link to the world of Deaths interns and the Reapers from previous books, so this story felt a bit seperate at times balancing known characters and a new fairytale aspect and merging them. Although it's a standalone I feel like you would need to have read other works to understand who all the characters were and how they operate with death to fully engage with their POV.
I liked the twist at the end although it was a little rushed, but it's one to read if you like urban fantasy, supernatural investigations, and tracking a serial killer.
