A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
5.0

4.5

Feyre is a 19-year-old young woman that has to take care of her family since her father isn't capable to go hunting himself. However, our protagonist does one mistake by killing a wolf. At least she thinks that the dead wolf is a real animal. It is not. Soon after her hunt, somebody kidnaps her from her small home because she killed a faerie. So her captor brings her to his court in a magical land, where no human ever lays foot on. If you want to know what's going to happen to Feyre ... you'll have to read the book for yourself. ;)

I heard and read mixed reviews about A court of Thorns and Roses, therefore, I was a little bit anxious starting this series. But in the end, I was completely amazed and I started to enjoy reading the first book. It kind of reminded me of Twilight (only for adults) even though there are no vampires in this series only faeries. Don't ask me why it reminded me of Twilight. I have no idea why! It just popped into my mind when I read the book. You have also some Beauty and the Beast vibes in this book. Something I really liked about ACOTAR was that you were immediately immersed in the story. There was no moment where I was annoyed!

Honestly, I can't even explain why I loved this book. I just do! And Sarah J.Maas is now definitely one of my favourite authors.  I recommend this book to every single living thing out there. Read this book if you want! And if you don't want to, still read this book! The pages turn from alone you don't have to do anything I promise. You are going to have the feeling to be a part of the whole environment.
