I can't believe I waited so long to read this book.

Jude is stubborn and reckless, sometimes to the point where I found myself rolling my eyes at her, but I can't really blame her for the way she is. Her life has led her to this point, and since she's determined to make it in their world, some of her choices end up being extreme. Her confidence hides the horror she knows will consume her if she lets it. Overall, I hope things work out for her.

Cardan is infuriating at first, but the things he says and does fit the temperament of a fairie prince, and it starts to make more sense once you read about him more later on.

Love that Roiben and Kaye make an appearance in this book, and that they're part of the same world as the modern fairytale series!

Definitely looking forward to reading the second book.
