Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson
4.0

Gardens of the Moon is a perfect example why I am now paying less and less attention to reviews.  If you like the premise of a book read it! I cannot believe  I  waited so long to start Malazan!  It is the definition of epic and I loved it.  While I am not completely sure about everythin  that is going on, it has the vibe of something so much more.  It is dark, dense, complex and layered and was captivated from the start.  Loved the writing style.  I did not try to remember details or characters (which is alot!), as this would be overwhelming.  I just enjoyed the ride.  Immersion reading Gardens of the Moon also helped, as the audiobook was a fantastic experience.  How Ralph Lister managed to voice so many characters was mind blowing! He truly did an exceptional job bringing the story to life.
