A Touch of Stardust by Kate Alcott

I loved this book (as evidenced by my 5 star rating.) I read it in nearly one sitting. Julie is a strong character who is guided by an even stronger character, Carole. In fact, this book made me want to learn more about Carole Lombard. All of the characters are built well, deftly showing both the strengths and vulnerabilities of the people in this book, men and women alike. The umbrella under which this all falls, Gone With The Wind, helps to cast a sort of epic and romantic light. The ending is satisfying and certainly more real and in a way happy. I wonder if anyone else was as pleased with it as I was.
