Iron and Magic by Ilona Andrews

5.0

Yet another fabulous novel from the Ilona Andrews team. Wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Hugh as a hero– how could they make an such unsympathetic character believably likeable? There were a few key grudges I was holding against Hugh from KD namely
Spoilertorturing Ascancio, caging Christopher, Aunt Bea, and a general history of brutal slaughter. Being described as Roland's wrecking ball encompasses a wide and bloody swathe of crimes against humanity.
And yet... the Andrews team worked their magic and Hugh has been forgiven. Definitely excited to read more about these two vicious lovebirds!
