The Genesis Wars by Akemi Dawn Bowman

While the beginning is a little slow, I've always loved Bowman's writing style, and she sets up the worldbuilding and Nami's powers/training with vivid imagery.
The second half of the book is all action, and it contrasts with the first half well! I loved getting to know the world of Infinity even more. I loved the character arcs, and I loved the two plot twists near the end.
Now I have to wait for the next one??
