The Spare Man by Mary Robinette Kowal

4.0

In terms of plot, pacing, and interesting characters, this book was great. It's also cool & important to see nonbinary genders and folks with disabilities represented well. My personal difficulty with the book - and it's a me problem - is that, as a person with pretty much constant back & knee pain, reading is often a way to distract myself from physical discomfort. Tesla's frequent mention of her own physical pain throughout the story didn't allow me to escape my own.
