The Substitute
by Denise Grover Swank
I loved Josh and Megan. They were so cute together and I loved how Josh treated Megan. However, Blair got on my nerves. Even more so that Knickers.
I understand that your best friend is supposed to look out for you and all that but they aren't supposed to make your decisions for you. Like I felt as though Blair thought she was so high and mighty. She knew what was best for Megan and all be damn if Megan disagrees because Megan must be too stupid to see if a guy treats her wrong. Likes yes do your best friend duty by telling her how to feel about the guy but where do you stand to deliberately break them up? Who are you? She just frustrated me because I don't think she was being a real friend because she never listened to what Megan had to say. The sad thing is, Megan's mom is controlling and manipulative just like Blair. Like both of them didn't let her have a say and Blair knowing how Knickers was, did the same thing. Ugh!
Lastly, the book felt like a dragged on a little and at the same time too much stuff happened. I don't know how to explain it. Just that when I got to the last chapter and it said "I've only known him for four days." I was like damn... this was a lot of stuff that happened in 4 days.
