A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

An excellent work of fantasy that brings out different shades of character arcs and world-building. I usually read the books before watching shows and movies, but I did the opposite. I'm glad I sat down to read the book because it really dives into the story that you don't see on the screen.

The storyline really are well thought out and I quite enjoyed seeing the differences in both forms of art. I will say that having the time to sit and take in the story in a slower pace helped me to understand certain things.

With that said, I think everyone who has seen the show should read the books. They are long, don't get me wrong, but you won't regret it.
