My middle school self would have absolutely loved this book. In fact, my 30 year old self loved this book. 

Kyana’s growth is beautiful to watch and I loved that she wasn’t perfect at everything right away. She made mistakes and learned from them. She took responsibility for her actions and corrected them. 

This book also shows the different sides of friendship so well! Balancing new friends with old ones and learning to make more room for the people in your life that matter.
