Disruption at Pemberley: A Pride and Prejudice Variation by Emily Russell

3.0

This is a P&P variation where Lizzie doesn't run into Mr Darcy at Pemberley but rather their carriage gets attacked by highwaymen and not the dashing kind you get in romance novels. They are saved but Lizzie is put in an awkward situation (for the time) which results in Darcy asking her to marry him.

Misunderstandings galore! Some of them were entertaining and some of them were annoying, but a big plus of this book was how it dealt with Lydia and Wickham.
Lydia not believing Lizzie until Wickham is going to let them kill Lizzie is just very IC for Lydia, considering how young and impetuous she is.
I also really liked how Georgiana was involved, it really gave her a chance to shine and I really liked how the main conflict was resolved.

For the action parts, I think I would give this book 4 stars and for the romance parts 3 stars. It was an enjoyable variation but I'm glad it was on Kindle unlimited.

3.5 stars!
