Oh my GOODNESS, what a book!
This is book that has a bit of everything in it - Angels, Demons, Werewolves and everything in between.
Samantha is on the run from her father, a notorious demon who will stop at nothing to get to her! She is incredibly strong, resilient, and selfless, and it is fantastic to see such a brilliant female role model for young adults. She has grit and determination!
The story is primarily from the POV of Samantha, though we do hear from Phoenix's POV towards the end, although this is brief, and Sam is still the focal point.
It is really incredible how Aileen has managed to weave God and Demons around the concept of supernatural, and it is utterly effortless and extraordinarily clever.
It is dark, addictive and utterly entralling. I can't wait to read Book 2 and find out what happens next, though I would love to hear more about Phoenix and Samantha's past, trapped in Hell.
I honestly have so much to say on this book but cannot for fear of spoiling the story.
Fantastic book and highly recommend!
