Well, it's 3.5 from me actually.
The idea of the story is interesting at first. But it's get boring in the middle of the book and stretched long. Repeating scenes of fight with almost dead situation and none of the bad guys died. The end is also a bit anticlimax. But there are a lot of mysteries (some of them not answered until the end, but I am sure we will get the answers in the next book) and some of the characters are lovable, although I really could not see the point of "Quinn" here. Why would the writer create a useless and pointless character like him as set him as Sam's best friend? No idea.
All and all it's not bad. I maybe gonna read the second book later.
