I've started this series 3 or 4 times now and can never seem to get past book 3. This time I vow to finish it! 

While the writing is very juvenile, I enjoyed it nonetheless. I don't know why but I love reading these kinds of books, even though the writing isn't the best, it's still super fun to read. I'm enjoying Zoey's character so far. She does have her immature moments though. 

The authors do say some questionable things throughout the book but it was written in 2007 so... 

I really adore her group of friends as well. Found family is one of my favorite troupes and it hits me in the heart every time! Stevie Rae has my heart, she's probably my favorite character in this series so far. I wish I could have her as my best friend. 

I also really like the world building and the magic system. I've always been obsessed with vampires and I love reading all of the different renditions of them. I love how in this world, vampires are close with cats. It's so pertect. 

I hope the writing gets better as the series goes on!
