I think this book was really good. It's a powerful retelling of the old myth of Theseus and Medusa, and gives the perspective of Medusa's sister as well as many other female characters which play any role in the story. I will say it took me a long time to read though, which I find strange as while I was reading I was interested in the book, but once I put it down I didn't really feel compelled to pick it up again. However, the last 100 pages or more I read in one sitting and was very interested. I think if I were in a position to read this book and actually fully give it a chance and pick it up consistently, I would get through it quickly and have given it a better rating, but since it took me so long to read then it has slightly spoiled my impression of the book.
