All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers

I love Ashley Flowers, her podcasts are my favorites on Spotify. Because of her, I was able to get started on having my aunt’s cold case looked at by learning how to gather all the info needed to get the process started. I currently have a detective assigned to the case and we are currently waiting for the evidence to be sent to the detective to possibly get DNA testing done.
I heard that Ashley wrote a book so I knew I needed to get my hands on it. I’ve been too busy to actually read lately so I have been listening to audiobooks. The wait on Hoopla was about 6 weeks out but I remembered with Spotify Premium you can now listen to 15 hours of audiobooks a month. I looked up her book and it was available so I started it and finished it in about 4 days! I gave the book 4 stars because of the ending not being quite wrapped up and leaving us wondering what happened to Margot. I’m hoping this is due to her possibly leaving it open to follow Margot in her next book but we’ll see.

I loved watching the character development throughout the story and also loved hearing it from Margot and Krissy’s perspective. I figured out a bunch of the stuff in the story about 4 chapters before the end but the very end actually caught me by surprise. My only issue is we were left not knowing what happens to Margot but like I stated previously, I’m hoping that’s because Ashley is leaving it open to follow her in another installment.
The story overall was very well written and I felt like I was there. I couldn’t stop listening and would take every opportunity to get some time in. If Ashley picks up where she left off with Margot in her next book, I’d change my rating to 5 stars. My only real issue is not knowing what happened to her especially since she’s the main character. She’s a crime reporter so I’m hoping that this is just the first story of Margot and that we’ll get more (like a series).
Overall, I enjoyed it. It was well written and I hope we get another installment soon!
