I had this on my TBR for over 6 months and finally picked it up to read. I had been so excited but as months went on and I kept picking up other books, I forgot what this one was about and went into it blind. It did take me a while to read but that’s because I had other things going on in my life so I couldn’t find time to finish it.

I was surprised it was high school based and had to keep reminding myself that Liz was in high school because she was VERY annoying at times, but her immaturity was justified when I remembered she’s in high school!

Wes was a sweetie. Michael was boring. Joss seemed cool!

I’m glad Helena and Liz became close and that Liz finally came to the realisation she needed to live life for herself, not her deceased mother. Liz definitely needs to communicate better because lots of things could have been cleared up if she had been honest with everyone from the start. I felt for her when Joss kept shooting her down but at the same time, I would have done exactly the same thing if my friend was acting the way Liz was.

Loved the second half more than the first half but definitely 5 stars. “Enemies to lovers— it’s our trope, Buxbaum” ❤️
