This was a decent series and worth the read. I wanted to know what would happen next, which is always good. I had to take the love the two MCs had for eachother at face value because I didn’t feel it for myself. (Honestly, she just laughs at how stupid he is all the time and he just swings a sword)
The good characters all have safety nets, so even though I wanted to know how, I always knew they would get out scot free (a point I realized in the very beginning when Simon was alone with a herd of vamps for mad long after being slammed with supernatural strength against a tree)
What I did like were some of the original or less used concepts in the series (flying vampires are fucking terrifying) MamiRooroo was dope.
Tbh I think Adele and Gareth should have just died together. All the vamps would be dead and Adele wouldn’t have to mourn her bfs death cus hellfire and Gareth wouldn’t have to watch her tiny mayfly life wither but whateverzzz haha
