The 1,000 Year Old Boy by Ross Welford
2.0

Overall I found this book lacking.
It was not so bad that I had to drop it, but I wasn’t feeling too excited for the next chapter either.
The premise was intriguing, however the plot felt forced, at the end of every single chapter there was a poor attempt at keeping the reader hooked by adding phrases such as “that was nothing to what would come next” and it was difficult to relate to the characters as their emotions where described inadequately if at all.
The ending too felt lacking, as if the author wrote most of the book and then at the last second decided to finish on a happy ending where everything works out. This gives the last few chapters of the book a rushed and unpolished feel.
To anyone who wants to read this book I would rethink your options, there are better books out there and reading this one felt like a waste of time to me.
