One Piece, Vol. 48: Adventures of Oars
by Eiichiro Oda
It’s fine. Thriller Bark isn’t an arc I’m particularly fond of, so reading this volume, while it was fun, overall wasn’t terribly exciting.
I’m sure the next volume will be more fun, especially since the major fights of the arc are coming up. This specific volume felt like the necessary bridge between the beginning and end conflicts.
There were some great character moments. Cindry’s part was well done, but my absolute favorite thing in this volume was Usopp (and his interactions with Perona).
TLDR: some great moments, but overall not a particularly memorable or riveting volume. Definitely necessary for reaching the conclusion, however.
