I suppose it’s my fault for not letting more time go by before reading another book by this author. Yes, this series is good, but there’s a dreary air, and there are repetitive plot points, and in this case, something awfully close to a deus ex machina that cheapened the whole thing for me. Still, a lot of very good writing and a ripping read. I’ll wait longer before my next so I can savor it more.
