The Man Who Laughs by Victor Hugo
5.0
I first read this book when I was a teenager (if not younger). I remember how heartbroken I was for the main character.
This is a fantastic story. Of course, like with all his other books, Victor Hugo LOVES to talk about EVERYTHING! there is a lot of rambling, a lot of history (that's not really necessary to the story at hand). Nevertheless, the writing is stunning and I didn't really mind all those extra pages.
