Frankenstein: A Graphic Horror Novel by Pete Katz, Mary Shelley
3.0

I read this as a graphic novel. It had great artwork and the story was of course amazing, very compelling, it draws you on and on. I suddenly realised just how much the Frankenstein story wasn't actually known to me even though I thought I knew most of it. Lesson being, just because a story is referenced, repeatedly, in numerous movies, shows, novels, magazines, songs, just because you've read retellings of a story - doesn't mean you really know much about the original version at all. I bet the graphic novel leaves a lot out too, so even now I can't say that I know the whole story.

I don't like graphic novels as a format, I only read them to fulfil reading challenges that call for them. Thus my 3-star rating. The normal version of this story likely would have rated 4 stars. I might even read it one day.
