The graphic novel is no substitute for the book, but I enjoyed the format. Percy, sadly, did not AT ALL look like any 12-year-old I've ever seen, but artistic license and all that. Most of the art was good, I'm skeptical of the new trend of incorporating picture images into drawn art (mostly seen here on things like cloudy skies and campfires). It seems lazy to me.
