It took me a while to get into it, especially because I didn’t have much time over the past few days. But once I sat down to read, I immediately finished the rest of the book because it completely captivated me.

Like every other book I’ve read so far, the storyline was interesting, and the characters experienced meaningful development, which I always appreciate - especially Xavier’s. I never imagined I’d end up liking him so much, as I usually dislike these types of male characters. But he was so well written, and it was refreshing to see his true personality shine through. He might be my favorite male character from the Kings of Sins series, although I also liked Sloane. She’s not necessarily my favorite female character, but I still enjoyed her personality and felt there was a sense of authenticity to her.

I really enjoyed reading the book - a story about redemption, facing one’s fears and emotions, and not to forget, all the revenge. A solid 4.5/5.
