This book heavily influenced my writing a few years ago and I remembered loving it to pieces, so I was a little nervous to read it again and potentially find that I didn't like it as much... but it's still really good. I'm not entirely sure why the worldbuilding wowed me as much as it did then--it's fun, it's just a little cliché in places--but the characters are deeply engaging and the prose focuses in exactly the right places. Still a 5-star read, just for different reasons this time around. :)
