Ok. This one was truly unputdownable. Not only did I lose sleep “One more chapter”ing myself into the wee hours of the morning, I also ate cereal for dinner because any more time out of this story was unacceptable. There are some triggers, so please check the TWs. We have a strong FMC who is loyal to her best friend above anything. There was some healing of childhood trauma that was unexpected, but appreciated. There is a MMC, but the romance is very much secondary to the plot. I adored this fairy tale retelling and can’t wait to jump into the next one!
Harmony would do anything for her best friend Molly, including sneak her into the palace for a ball. But when she hears the crown prince is back and likes to take his pleasure in redheads that look exactly like Molly, whether they want it or not, she breaks in to get her out of there. She finds Molly traumatized and the prince with a glass heel sticking out of his chest. They just need to lay low and disguise themselves. Unfortunately for Harmony, the man she danced with at the ball was the other prince, and he very much recognizes her. He doesn’t tell anyone though, so what does he want from her?
