This is my first Michio Kaku book and I am very impressed with how easily he was able to convey some very complex ideas. This book is very expansive and cover a whole range of issues when discussing ways to help humankind evolving into a multi-planet species. Just some of the topics touched on: history of rocketry and notable historical figures, propulsion technologies, philosophical/ethical barriers, medical technologies, etc... if you're looking for a good primer on this topic, you can scarcely do better, IMO.

Can't wait to start on some of his other works!
