When re-reading a book, I’m always nervous that I won’t enjoy the experience as much as I did the first time around. Fortunately, I didn’t have that problem rereading Ninth House. The characters are both fun and frustrating, the magic is dark, and the fantastical elements feel fresh (not reused tropes). I revisited this novel in anticipation of reading the sequel that was recently released, and I’m very excited to make my way to Hell Bent.
