Dracula by Bram Stoker
5.0
I think Dracula is my favourite classic. I just love it.
I'm convinced that the reason there's so much of the book left out of Dracula movies because audience members would think it was satire.
My absolute favourite conversation in this book is between Jonathan Harker and Van Helsing. Jonathan decides Van Helsing could never understand how it feels to doubt your own mind, 'not with eyebrows like those'. How could you not love these characters?
Also, there's a cowboy in the anti-Dracula team.
There are some slow sections. I understand why people want Lucy to just die already but I really enjoy the journey. This is my third time getting through Dracula and I love it even more now. I recommend audiobooks. I find that it really lets you enjoy the prose.
