The Truth About Unspeakable Things by Emily A Myers was a heartbreaking romantic thriller that kept me on my toes throughout the entire book. I loved every second!

5/5 stars

We are introduced to Emma who has recently found her fiancé in bed with another women. She returns to end things with him, but he puts her in a situation that makes her look like the bad guy.

Emma was a beautiful main character. She was broken, and hurt. She does become fierce, and so strong it makes you fall in love with her 100%. Her story is one I will continue to remember for a long time. Julian... I can’t say enough good things about him. What a great character. What a great love interest. His backstory will keep you wanting more and more. Kat is my kind of best friend. She is incredible, loveable, and such a good support.

The plot of this book was mesmerizing. I couldn’t stop reading! I found myself fully engrossed in all of the intricate layers and subplots that all tied into a plot that was absolutely heartbreaking, but also quite fascinating.

Emily’s writing style is gorgeous. It was very easy to read, but it was also impossible not to imagine the events of the book. The details weren’t overwhelming, but I had a distinct picture in my mind, and it made me love it all the more.

There is a character redemption arc that I’m not spoiling but had me cheering out loud! (Three of them actually, Emily did redemption arcs incredible well for 284 pages.)

This has been recommended to readers of Verity, I agree with that, however I do warn that it is in a complete vein of writing of its own.
