City of Bones by Michael Connelly

4.0

Probably not a book I would have picked up on my own, but that's the point of our neighborhood book club-- to expand our reading horizons. Really enjoyed getting to know Harry Bosch as a character and seeing the inner workings and politics of a big-city police department-- the characters and situations seemed very genuine. A little bit more "telling" versus "showing" than was probably needed, but overall, a solid mystery with strong characters.
