The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware

1.5

Some of my issue was the audio as the narrator is horrible at accents (I would have had no idea the boyfriend was American if it hadn’t been mentioned by another character and the way she does a Scandinavian accent was just odd)

But it was also as if the author needed to make the book as tedious as possible. It’s just weird to comment on your personal opinion of everyone’s English using descriptors like “good”. Sorry, that doesn’t help me understand what’s going on any better and just makes me feel like you’re constantly rating people’s English which is just annoying. I get making the rich people sound boring is connected to the end, but it was really not done in an interesting way at all and made the book so hard to get through.

As a thriller, I guess it did it’s job because I did want to know what was going on, but that was about the only thing that worked for me.
