Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella

4.0

I have a Christmas tradition of reading a piece of chick-lit in December, and it's always a good decision if it's Kinsella. Yes, the main characters are very familiar but you know what? I really like them. The girl who is getting herself into just too many uncomfortable situations to safely distance yourself from, the guy who is always handsome and unhappily rich and somehow hard to reach, the usual dynamics, and the lovely extras. All very familiar and cosy and making me laugh out loud in the middle of the night yet again, and also making me cry. Neither of which is an easy feat to pull off, ask my other reads. A heart-warmingly constant high quality of this genre, she remains to be my go-to author for this one.
