This is the first book I have read by this author. I see the appeal of the book to some individuals. I picked the book because it was listed as a rom-com and I am the sort of person that can reread rom-com books over and over. I will laugh the second time, but for this book I didn't laugh once. The book did get a small chuckle out of me once. I think the right person, with the right humor would really enjoy this one. Unfortunately, I am just not that person.
The things I disliked are all taste specific: Janet, was too vain one moment too self-conscious the next. The boss power trip didn't do it for me. The story didn't feel very romantic to me, and nothing made me smile and think that this love was perfect. I never actually once thought that Wendy and Janet made a perfect couple. Sex scenes were hot, but that couldn't overcome the entire story. Again, I am sure some really enjoyed and will enjoy this book. The writing for me was good, but that is to be expected from YLVA.
