My favorite parts of this book were the twinkling Bioluminescent baby snails. Tickles my soul.
I didn't enjoy the sequel as much as the first book but it was still a good journey. Binti goes through a much greater and very important growth period and learns so much about herself. She's a very real and understandable character.
The story moves slow at first. I didn't really get into it until the desert scenes. From there on I was interested in the sudden story building that went on.
For how grand of a fantasy world this was and for how short of a story it is Nnedi does a great job of helping you picture the settings. I really enjoyed exploring these new lands.
Good book. On to the finale!
