“I wasn't aware that words could hold so much. I didn't know a sentence could be so full” - Delia Owens 📚
Thank you @ for recommending this book as part of my 12 books in 2022 recommended by friends challenge. 🥰
This was such a unique reading experience for me, very different to anything else I’ve read that’s for sure. It was a coming of age story, with so much sadness but also intrigue! 🧭
Kay was such a loveable character, she deserved the best and I just wanted to protect her! I got such a warmth from Tate and Jumpin, they were well written characters. 🥰
Although, I’m a fan of a murder mystery usually, the second half did feel like a completely different book. I did enjoy it toward the end, but I think it took my brain a bit of time to readjust. 🧠
I will say, if it hadn’t been for my audiobook, I don’t think I would’ve got through the slow start. But I got into it after a couple of sittings and that ending was perfect, it came to a close so peacefully. 🗺
