So uniquely good!
I finished this book in just over 24 hours, and with my real life being as crazy as it is right now, that is saying something! I started this book on a break at work and was hooked from the very emotional prologue and continued to devour this book in any spare moment I had.
I LOVE that Colleen Hoover incorporates (and therefore promotes) other artists' work in her books- whether it be music or in this case, paintings. Adding images of the paintings into the book was so cool! And, the paintings, themselves are amazing!
I was completely in love with this book until the big twist in the middle. This development really took me by surprise <----which I love in a book, but it really changed the feel of the book for me at that point. I felt like Auburn's backstory was explained way too quickly. And considering the impact it had on her, I needed more of it to make it believable.
Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoyed the book after that, especially Owen, who I adored! I also love the way Colleen Hoover adds humor and quirky characters to her books. And her writing style is such that it is always making me feel, whether I am laughing, reading with a big grin on my face, wiping tears or anxiously turning pages. I LOVE that!!!
Colleen Hoover is definitely one of those authors that I don't even need to read a blurb- I just read it! She hasn't let me down yet!
