I enjoyed the first of Elsie Silver's Rose Hill series!
It was a delightful small town romance! Had a good resolution, introduced the setting well for follow up books with West and Tabby in particular (maybe Skyla?), and was interspersed with a little bit of cute content and a few steamy scenes.
Ford Grant is a Sweetie: He kept the diary!
I would rate it 3/5 because, frankly, I read it without a lot of emotional impact. Cora is probably my favorite! I really love the way that they interacted and the way that he grew into a father figure for her. I felt like there was a slightly clunky slow burn, but then again, I think it was just that particular combination of tropes were hard for me to focus on. I've noticed that I go through phases where light and sweet isn't my flavor of the month. Maybe l'll revisit the next installment of her series in a couple of weeks or months and see if it hits differently.
